CFA Receives Grant for Library Materials

CFA’s plan to transform its library into a resource center for development communication received a big boost recently when it was awarded a grant on the occasion of Metrobank’s 49th Anniversary, Selected as one of Metrobank Foundation’s development partners, CFA received the amount of P100,000 for the acquisition of new library materials such as books, journals, and reference materials. Ms. Bob Lopez, Head of the CFA Training Center, personally received the grant from Mr. Chito Sobrepena, President of Metrobank Foundation, during the turn-over ceremony held on September 2, 2011.

With its acquisition of new library materials, CFA hopes to better serve the research needs of alternative media practitioners, students, teachers and workers in development NGOs and church groups who are involved in CFA’s activities or use its facilities. CFA also aims to serve more students from different schools in Metro Manila who wish to do research on specialized topics such as media education and development communication.
